Puffin 28 is a Karl Stambaugh design. It's a 28 by 9-6 foot diesel sedan cruiser, drawing 2 feet and displacing 6500 pounds. Construction is of cold molded plywood and epoxy. An inboard diesel engine of 35hp swings an 18-inch prop for an anticipated economical cruising speed of six or seven knots.
I first saw the design more than ten years ago in a book of designs, and was immediately attracted by the jaunty sheer and traditional appearance.
